Lavender bathroom with Paris theme?

hello - I am decorating my new apartment and I really want a relaxing, romantic style bathroom. Does anyone have any ideas about how to incorporate a Paris theme with lavender color? Would it work? So far I have bath accessories that are white with french writing on them. I also have a silver eiffel tower that hangs on the wall. What should I do about a shower curtain and bath/hand towels? Thank you for any ideas!!

Answer :
That sounds so cute.
They have a paris shower curtain link that I pasted below.
Lavender, Black, and White would be perfect.
So Chic and romantic! I love it
for candles... find lavender colored candles and place them in a vase with black stones at the bottom. That would be cute too!

Answer :
Check out this Google page that has several Paris scenes on shower curtains!
http://www.google.com/search?q=paris+sho…

You can add fleur de lis shower hooks....get oval fleur de lis soaps

Hand paint Le Bain in the room (means the Bath)

Here's another site (however it shows pink), but the black & white stripe curtain looks sharp, too (kind of reminds me of a cafe look)

Answer :
I think that lavender would go excellent with a Paris theme. i would get a shower curtain that is black and white with a possible hint of lavender somewhere on it. The shower curtain you can get at a number of places. hope it turns out as you want it too!!

Does any one know where to look for pictures of Paris France Before the Eiffel Tower was built?

I am decorating my rrom in a Paris motife and am doing a progression of the eiffel tower, i have all of the pictures accept for one of before it is built. i have spent almost two hours looking for this picture on my own and am getting kinda desprate. please help

Answer :
You should try in the French part. Google 'Paris 19eme siecle' or 'photos paris 19eme siecle' Here is a series of old pictures of 19th century Paris

And some painting.

And just for fun, a painting of Paris in 1855 from a hot air balloon. All that greenery is now covered with buildings.

Answer :
I would just go on google images because I usually can find just about any picture on that. Good luck, I am also decorting my room with paris inspiration because I am going there in April !

What is Paris like, and what can you do there?

I'm staying in the montcalm hotel, already plan to do some shopping and to see the eiffel tower, however not interested in disneyland.

Answer :
Eiffel Tower,
The Louvre,
Many Museums - Picasso, etc. Can't possibly name them all.
Notre Dame Basillica,
Moulin Rouge,..(Be careful at night, it's a bad neighborhood)
Aquarium,
Pantheon,
Palace of Versailles,
Arc de Triumphe,
Catacombes,
Montmarte,
Cemetaries - so many famous people in the cemetaries around Paris! You can even share a beer with Jim Morrison by pouring a beer on his grave while you have one yourself.
Chocolate Stores - The chocolates they make are so intricate and amazing!
They even have a sex museum by the Moulin Rouge that looks absolutely hilarious (I didn't get the chance to go in, but there was a spanking chair in the window. Looked so funny).

Honestly, there is so much to do in Paris, I can't list it all. You could spend half a day in Paris just sitting at a cafe outside people watching and actually have a blast. I'd recommend trying a crepe at some point. The shopping is spectacular. I was there for ten days and I took 500Euros, which was enough although I could've spent more. If you want to save money, opt for a hostel instead. You can get a 1 or 3 day museum pass, that will allow you to spend about 45 Euros and you have access to .all. the museums for the full three days. Be careful though! A lot of museums are closed on Monday, so make sure to check ahead of time for hours of operation for any of these sites.

PS The only thing I want to warn you is, that downtown - near the Louvre and Pont Neuf, there are LOTS of thieves. Carry your money in a money belt or in a well concealed pocket even if you carry a purse. If you're carrying a schoolbag, wear it on your front to avoid people stealing stuff from behind and try not to pull a map out in open areas or they'll flag you as a tourist in 2 seconds flat. Try not to talk to strangers who approach you saying they lost anything

Answer :
Paris is crowded and expensive. Customer service is pretty awful, and Parisians generally are moody, rude and annoying. If you are a shopaholic, then take lots of money, as much as you possibly can.

There is plenty to see and do, too much to list on here. Check out Paris wiki-travel guide for detailed info.

Dont forget the cathedral at Notre Dame, the Arc d'Triomphe, and the Sacre Couer.

Okay, so I'm stumped on these 2 physics questions...?

Hello world.
Can you guys help me with these 2 questions? i don't need you to solve the questions or anything but just to please give me some hints on where to start would be greatly appreciated :)

1. an 80kg St Bernard dog leaps with an acceleration of 2ms^-2 from a stationary 40kg canoe to shore. What is the recoil acceleration of the canoe?

and

2. The Breaking strain on the cable holding the elevator in the eiffel tower is 30000N. The maximum number of people that can ride in the elevator at any one time is twenty. Given that the mass of each person is 70kg and the elevator has a mass of 400kg, what is the maximum upward acceleration that the elevator can have?

thankyou :)

Answer :
1) for the system acceleration of centre of mass is zero
hence, acm = m1 a1 + m2 a2 / m1 + m2 = 0 ie., a2 = - m1 a1 / m2 , where 'a2' is the acceleration of the canoe

hence, a2 = - 80 x 2 / 40 = - 4 m/sec^2 ( in opposite direction)

2) maximum upward accelration a = T / m - g , where 'm' is the total mass on the cable

hence, a = 30000/ 1800 - 9.8 = 6.87 m/sec^2 ( nearly)

Answer :
1.
By Newton's Third Law, the force on the canoe is the same as the force on the dog -- F1 = F2.
By Newton's Second Law, the force is the mass times the acceleration -- F = ma.
Since F1 = F2, just write F = ma. However, the masses are different: m1 = 80 kg, and m2 = 40 kg.
F = m1a = (80 kg)(2 m/s²) = 160 N.
F = m2a = (40 kg)(x m/s²) = 160 N.
x = 160/40 = 4 m/s².

2.
Total mass of people + elevator = (20)(70 kg) + 400 kg = 1800 kg.
Total weight = mass × g = (1800 kg)(9.81 m/s²) = 17 700 N (to 3 significant figures, although only 1 sig. fig. can be justified here).
Difference between strength of cable and maximum load = 30 000 N - 17 700 N = 12 300 N.
This is equivalent to a weight; find the acceleration by dividing by the mass:
(12 300 N) / (1800 kg) = 6.8 m/s².
